As a Community Interest Company, Horizon Cheerleading CIC focuses on making cheerleading accessible and inclusive, creating opportunities for everyone to get involved regardless of experience level.
A big part of what makes Horizon so special is the girls who take part. They typically range in age from around 5 to 16 years old, creating a vibrant mix of energy, enthusiasm, and experience. The younger athletes bring excitement and curiosity as they learn the basics, while the older girls often take on supportive roles, helping guide and encourage their teammates. This mix of ages helps create a positive team dynamic where everyone learns from one another.
The girls come from different backgrounds, schools, and experiences, but share a common enthusiasm for cheerleading. Some are complete beginners learning their first routines, while others have been involved in the sport for years and enjoy helping newer teammates feel comfortable. Each athlete brings her own personality to the team, creating a supportive and friendly environment where everyone feels included.
At the heart of Horizon Cheerleading CIC is a strong emphasis on teamwork and encouragement. The girls build confidence not only through learning skills like stunts, jumps, and dance, but also by supporting one another.
